adelante coaching + consulting offers one-on-one coaching services to individuals looking to move forward, maximize their natural talents and strengths, achieve their goals, and reach their full potential– whether on a personal or professional level. As a Gallup Certified Strengths coach, Alicia is passionate about strengths-based development and incorporates the CliftonStrengths (StrengthsFinder 2.0) assessment into her coaching as a tool to help clients "name, claim, and aim" their strengths. She focuses on helping clients both deepen their understanding of their talents and forward the development of those natural talents into high performing strengths to enable them reach their goals. Through a well-designed and collaborative coaching process, clients see talents become strengths and their potential for success fully realized.

"At its most fundamental, a coaching session is a conversation between a coach and another person or - in team, partnership and systems coaching - a coach and two or more people. But this is no ordinary, everyday conversation. An effective coaching conversation gets at the heart of what matters. It is a focused, concentrated conversation designed to support the client in clarifying choices and making changes."

Steps in Partnering Together

1. Set up an exploratory conversation

As recommended by the International Coaches Federation, before selecting a coach, you should speak to at least three. This conversation will give you a chance to get a better understanding of Alicia’s approach and style and determine if it matches with your needs. There is no charge for this call and it can be conducted via phone or Skype. Contact Alicia today to schedule a chat!

2. Working with Alicia

If you decide you want to work with Alicia, the next step is to determine together the structure and goals of the coaching engagement. Although Alicia is flexible and will work with you to design a coaching structure that works best for your individual needs, the typical coaching engagement will include:

Initial 90-minute discovery session Expand

Ideally done in person if geographically possible this is the foundation on which the coaching relationship will be built. It provides the opportunity for coach and client to design together what the relationship will look like and using dynamic coaching tools like StrengthsFinder, to begin the process of identifying the client’s strengths, values, priorities, goals, vision, and agenda.

Ongoing coaching sessions Expand

Typically done via phone or video conference, these ongoing sessions are 60 minutes in length and can be scheduled weekly, every two-three weeks, or even monthly based on the needs of the client.

Follow-up coaching session Expand

Ideally scheduled anywhere from two to six months after the last coaching session, this provides the opportunity for the client to reflect on their progress and get any additional support that might be needed.
