When you hear the word conflict, what comes to mind? Something pleasant? Something you look forward to? Something you can’t wait to engage in? No, probably not. Although most of us don’t particularly like to deal with conflict, it is an inevitable part of being in relationship and interacting with others that can provide a tremendous opportunity for learning and growth. In this training participants will have the opportunity to explore the theory and reality of conflict, gain self-awareness about the five conflict styles and when to best use them, and learn a dialogic, problem-solving, constructive conflict resolution model that includes the use of active listening, non-blaming language, and how to move beyond positions and identify underlying needs.
