About Alicia Santamaria
Alicia Santamaria is CEO and Founder of adelante coaching + consulting. After years of saying she would like to be a consultant someday, in December of 2010, she stepped out on faith and finally found “her forward.” She loves her clients, her work, and is grateful for the opportunity to use her strengths in service of others.
Alicia started her career as a conflict resolution trainer and team facilitator over 25 years ago. She currently focuses her workplace coaching and consulting on positive organizational culture-building through leadership development, increasing manager effectiveness, strengths-based employee engagement and helping teams develop high performing and high trust cultures. She is particularly passionate about helping individuals learn new skills to better engage in authentic and trust-building conversations while cultivating self-awareness and perspective-taking. She believes with the changing workplace of today, these skills are needed now more than ever.
Alicia regards coaching, grounded in strengths, as a powerful development, learning, communication and relationship building practice. When leaders and managers commit to strengths-focused coaching practices, they have unlimited opportunities for creating high performing and positive teams and organizational cultures.
To maximize learning and accelerate strength-based development, Alicia is certified in several well-respected and high-quality learning and development tools to support and complement her workplace coaching and consulting. These include Gallup’s CliftonStrengths as well as Wiley’s Everything DiSC and Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team tools.
Alicia holds a master’s degree in communication and is a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach. She has also earned the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coach Federation, the gold standard for accreditation of coaching professionals.
In addition to being CEO of adelante coaching + consulting, she is proud to serve as adjunct faculty at the Notre Dame de Namur University School of Business and
Management, in Belmont, CA. There she develops and teaches courses on leadership and organizational development topics for the Professional Studies Department.
